Who should attend

The FAW course is mandatory in many industries, particularly in high-hazard settings or workplaces with 50 or more employees. This includes Manufacturing facilities, Distribution centers, Construction sites, Sports venues, and large offices, schools, and colleges.

In addition to ensuring legal compliance, this course equips employees with the skills to effectively respond to workplace emergencies, playing a vital role in minimising injuries and potentially saving lives.

  • Roles and responsibilities of a First Aider 

  • How to safely assess a First Aid situation

  • Basic hygiene in First Aid

  • Conduct a primary and secondary survey

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • Recovery position

  • Cardiac arrest, heart attacks and angina

  • CPR and AED (male & female casualties) 

  • Stroke

  • Epilepsy

  • Bleeding control

  • Burns (including electrical and chemical)

  • Choking

  • Shock

  • Allergic reaction and anaphylactic shock

  • Poisons

  • Diabetic and asthmatic emergencies

  • Bone, muscle, joint, chest, eye, head and spine injury
